As title really rev counter jumps about a bit now and again and has miss under boost.
Had a new phase sensor a while ago, tried diff leads. Havnt gapped crank sensor but not sure if this would affect it?
Prob.2 - Under full throttle when the boost is fully wound up, I get a resonating noise, think it maybe over boosting but have no gauge at mo (getting one) . I also thought I may have had an amal valve prob but have taken this out of the loop piping direct between compreesor housing and actuator...Could I have a stuck actuator causing full boost..
thanks in advance

If your Cos is a 4wd Saph - try the multiplugs at the back of the engine as once the connection dry's over time they can cause a slight misfire.
Also there is a little green wire than goes to the coil which has a little rubber connector in it - try cleaning that connection as that might also help.
With regard to over boosting if its doing it when the compressor housing is piped directly to actuator I wouldn't have thought it was overboosting as it will only be holding actuator pressure which is about 10psi?

I can offer some advice on the rev counter jumping/misfire, My car 4x4 had this exact same problem and it turned out to be the loom plugs that run along the loom at back of rocker cover,
I cut out these plugs and soldered the wires up and the car ran fine for around 16 months, then same problem started again, replaced the engine loom and now car is as sweet as a nut
once you have eliminated all the usual points of call, leads, plugs, plug gaps, coil, dizzy cap/rotor arm etc etc its more than likely the engine loom that will need replacing especially when the rev counter is going skyward under boost

Cheers guys, I think the rev counter/misfire prob will be easy to sort. When I can muster some enthusiasm for it
But the fookin turbo noise is being a pain in the arse! Deff not running 10psi with the pipe direct to the actuator. So I can only assume I have a stuck actuator staying closed. Will find out more when I get me boost gauge
