WANTED: Software testers
We are advertising for Software Testing positions, job description as follows:
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The continuous design, development, maintenance and execution of both manual and automated test scripts and the identification and tracking of faults using a web based defect-tracking system.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
-To identify and analyse software faults to define the cause of the issue, and resolve the problem in a well structured and timely manner.
-Mentor colleagues, sharing knowledge and expertise.
-To assist in the implementation of both manual and automated testing to ensure that future product releases are quality assured to a high level.
-To conduct structured manual testing to supplement automated testing procedures and ensure that all software is tested to a high standard prior to release

SKILLS / PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
-Any development exposure would be an advantage
-Proven manual QC skills including creation and adherence to best practice testing methodology
-Exposure to, and ability to implement automated testing using Rational
-ISEB Foundation Certificate or higher
The company you would be applying for is a leader in OSS for the telecommunications industry with customers in UK, mainland europe and asia-pac.
These customers are telecommunication organisations, ranging from national telecoms to smaller ISP operators.
In addition, we regularly work with leading hardware suppliers such as Alcatel Lucent, Cisco, Ericsson, Juniper to name but a few.
