Default A few problems - help needed please

Right ive got a few niggling problems with my Saff Cossie, and wondered if any of you good people could help

1. The past few days the ABS light has been on the car constantly, but started being more intermittent, however yesterday the car totally lost its brakes and pedal went rock solid, i had to miss the junction i was due to turn into as it wouldnt stop , once car was turned off and started again, they were fine

2. The electric window switch keeps blowing its fuse, any ideas why? and they go when your not using the windows

dicko, check/clean the connections on the abs pump, it might be that

as for the windows have a look to see what else runs off that fuse if they is anything else. if that doesn't work disconnect the electric window switch for a few days to see if it stops the fuse blowing. this will confirm if it is indeed a window loom issue

Clean check the connections on the abs pump.
Disconnect window switch, and fuse, then do a continuity test between the live in and earth, this will immediately pinpoint any slight short which would cause the fuse to blow, ie there should be NO CONITNUITY BETWEEN the live in and earth.
NOTA BENA, you must of course probe to determine which is live, before disconneting the switch panel.
