got a bit of a problem with my runaround, there is full charge in the battery but when i turn on the ignition there is nothing there. No dash lights or anything. Just wondering if anyone has any idea's what it could be. Heard that its a common fault for the fuse boxes to give up on them.
Any help would be greatly appretiated

i spent ages with a multi meter on the fuse box on my mk6 van, real pain in the arse finding why the hazards and horn were not working, got there in the end though, I traced the wires back from the horn to the dea fuse holder

yea really common on MK5s..
apparently quite a usual sign of them starting to go are
the heater blower giving up or being strange.. and other little bits and pieces not wanting to work. as mentioned above!
+ to make things more difficult, i THINK there is more than one type of fusebox for them... as fudge found out when he had to replace his

you only need to match the last 3 letters or numbers of the fuse box to yours, mine was a BBD,another sign that the fusebox has gone tits up is that your lights dont work on main beam
i have 2 mk5 escorts and replaced one with new and got my m8 to repair the other
