Queens fly past over london... Anyone interested?
Ok, being a bit of a cabbage but just been sent this through a mate, and wondered if any of you lot wanna know.. LOL
The Queen's Birthday flypast on Saturday 16/6 at 1300 local
The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will lead the way and, as this is
their 50th anniversary, they are putting up a larger formation
Dakota
Spitfire Lancaster Spitfire
Hurricane Spitfire Hurricane
They will break off sharpish and will be followed by
9 x Typhoons led by 3sqn and representing all four squadrons currently
at Coningsby
Tornado F3 x2 VC10 Tornado F3 x2
Tornado GR4 x2 Nimrod Tornado GR4 x2
Red Arrows in a diamond formation (special touch as it is the Queen and
Prince Philip's 60th wedding anniversary)
Secondly, the Falklands (I'll call it a celebration but in these times
of the fun police I guess it is a commemoration)
This is on Sunday 17/6 at 1645 local - the rotary section
3 x Royal Navy Sea King Mk6
4 x Royal Navy Sea King Mk4
1 x RAF Sea King (Yellow)
5 x Royal Navy Lynx
3 x Royal Navy Merlin
5 x AAC? Lynx
1 x Chinook (hopefully the famous BN)
At 1650 local - the fixed wing
5 x Dominies
2 x Hercules
5 x Typhoons
2x Hawks VC10 2x Hawks (2 RN and 2 RAF)
Nimrod
Red Arrows in a normal V formation

PassionFord Post Whore!!
Red Arrows flew past my flat last night. Fuck knows where they were going to or had just been.
Still impressive though.
Looking forward to Lowestoft Air Fair in July, as the Avro Vulcan should be there.
