Default mid engined fiesta

ok ive had a go at making the gear linkage lastnite and ive got all the gears but its really sloppy when in gear from side to side and looks like its in neutral when in any gear, so has anyone got any ideas thanks

Its cause you have too much flex in that rod, I get similar with my mid engined nova.

funny you say that i had my misses doing the gears and i was under the car and it was flexing a bit ,ill try stronger pipe ,cheers mate you got any pics of the nova??

i saw this at pvs the other week, also saw a twin engined corsa there ,i love cars like this

Is that just a temporary link?
It doesn't look like it will last, too much stress on the welds.
It would be better done in one piece or rod or bar with bends.

However for now to stop flexing it may need some central support and support near the stick, a loose loop around the rod maybe.

yeah im not happy with it so it will be getting changed but to what i dont no

Use an MGF cable gear linkage and adapt it mate, thats what Martin Hadland has talked me into doing to mine, I just havent had the chance yet.

Yeah thats my mate beardy's corsa, he's currently building too 450bhp or so LET engines for it.

Should be an animal when done, although not a very practical one, lol
