Are you sure that as his gauges are Autometer ones that this isn't 1400° F, as that is what the Yanks tend to do temps in.... ?

It's just that 1400°C and the turbo would be a molten mass, whereas 1400°F is just 760°C, which is what you would expect after just a few seconds of ALS .

As above. 1400°C is just not possible IMO.

With the sensor just after the turbo, I usually see 800-850°C as a maximum.

not many temperature sensors can withstand 1400 deg. c either

I did wonder this tbh, but I said to Roosie 1400c and he either did not hear me or was trying too hard to scare the shit outa me to answer!!
Either way the increase as soon as AL turned on is unbleivable .
I'm sure your right about it being 1400F(poxy yanks) but am seeing him tonight so will just be nosey anyway.

1400 F is 760 deg C which is about what i'd expect

my gauge does read in farenheit which is a bit shit i just tell myself not to go over 1500

Doesnt have to melt to let parts into the turbo, vibration could do this too. Had one sensor do this, luckily it was placed behind the turbo.

but tim says its bullshit funny that i have had quaulity tuners not to let it over 800 as that will be 1000 before the turbo , and funny enough when tested there was a 168 c diff so i make em right
