When i had mine, i used it everyday. Did around 18,000 miles in just over a year. Spent a fair bit on keeping it on the road though.......

I do in excess of 50K miles a year.

So its just not an option for me when my mondeo costs me around 10P a mile to run including fuel/tyres/servicing/depreciation

My 3 door would be more like 50p a mile i suspect

I use my company car as a daily driver and keep the cossie tucked up in the garage I'd rather it was the other way around though

Used mine as a daily driver when I first bought it six years ago, used it for about a couple of years before engine rebuild, restor jobs and expensive add ons started going on it, but what really made up my mind is I kept all my petrol reciepts for one month and it came to £270:00 I thought to myself fuck this I'm not doing it anymore.

Cossie is only on the road for six months of the year now and that's for shows and escapades only during nice weather,

Tucked up in my garage the rest of the year

My Escort Cosworth is a daily driver. I do 110 miles a day in it, every day, except weekends when it’s tucked up in the garage. GGR 375 BHP conversion.

Don't care about depreciation, I just drive it

If I ever get my twincam Sierra running, I'll probably use that again for a while so I can do some restoration on my Cosworth. But, really, I can't do without it, so I'd be tempted to buy a second Cossie

up until 2 years ago mine was always used as a daily driver by my hubby and its stage 3

it did have many rebuilds in its time tho

but now we can afford to have 2 other nice cars to use as daily drivers so the escort and the saph can be kept for summer use, fun and shows!

I've used my Cossie as a second car ever since i brought it over 6 1/2 years ago...

I took it off the road and put it in the garage for a winter the first year i owned it.. Was a bad idea...

Since then i've had it on the road all year round... I do 200 miles a week going to and from work but i have a diesel fiesta for that and it costs me peanuts...

Sometimes i get the bug and i just jump in the cossie and take that to work, Gives me back the buzz of why i brought it...

But currently it's having a ABS loom replaced so i'm stuck with the Fiesta for another week or so

mine is used as an everyday workhorse for carrying my work tools around.it was the main reason i did the conversion on the touring as i needed a van for tools and a fast car for pleasure but couldnt afford to buy and maintain 2 vehicles.a perfect compromise and makes me the fastest joiner in town my wife has the sensible audi a4 family car for transporting the kids though and neither my wife or either of my kids have actually ever travelled in my cossied bmw yet.

All Cosworths are now at least 12years old so not an option as a daily driver, great fun but not ecconomical to drive every day.

Mine is my everyday car, but luckily i car share with a mate, so I only use it for two weeks of the month. Touch wood the car has been super reliable for the last 19months, the rule is that you just cant rag the tits off em.
