DVLA help...
Right just back of holiday and got problems with the DVLA.... Great
Had letter through saying i have a fine because i failed to tax my old BMW and declare if its SORN etc. However i sold it in Feb and i sent the log book of myself!
I cannot phone the DVLA as they wont discuss over the phone
(so much for customer service). So i have to wright a letter and fill a form in they sent me. On this form they said if the car has been sold state the name and address of new keeper. Now because i sold it ages ok and i had a clean out just before i went on holiday i threw his address out as i assumed i have not heared anything since Feb so all was fine.
Anyone had this problem, and will DVLA be happy me telling them it was sold ages ago, even though im not supplying new keeper details?
I got to mess around now, even though its DVLA's fault as i sent the log book of ages ago.

My mate had the same problem as you with the logbook thing, when I've sold any cars just recorded delivery the envolope with the change of address inside and then they haven't got any excuses never had a problem. My mate did get out of it though had a letter through to confirm this did manage to speak to someone on the phone though.
