Woo, just got home, nearly crashed twice, watching fast cars all day seems to suddenly take away all your driving ability, or makes you drive too fast, or both, not sure

Quality day, everything pulled big big speeds on the day, 2 over 200mph, the Supra wouldve too i reckon if it didnt have a prob with its rad fan.

Rocket Ronnies car was awesome as ever.

Damn right, well thats not ALWAYS the case but bloody is with the Norris EVO! There was lot of doubters before (mainly cause of his low terminals etc) and i was probably the biggest doubter, but the new gearbox and things are very different!

Soon as he came back from the 200mph run i goes to Porkie-
"Well thatl shut a lot of people up, especially me!"

The 10.4 1/4 times dont do it justice either as he couldnt hold it on the line so was rolling every time, starting the timing, if he managed it proberly i can honestly see high 9, no joke, which is mad for a smallish engined road legal car with full interior.

Very impressed, shows what a good box can do (Tho the RC EVO did a 10.3 on a std box at TOTB3, they both have hollingers now so itl be very interesting!).

5.6 to 100mph was mental too

Funniest bit was when Simon goes to me "Your Steve yea? The one that gives me loads of shit on Passionford"
I did, but only on the power figures compared to performance times, and now that points been proven so il shut up, lol

Good day all round, all the cars were mental, and i suddenly like GT3 porkers too

GT3's.... what a fooking car. Sooooo hard and gave its big brother the GT2 and good run for its money. That was a great race, the GT3 is NOT about straight lines though... TOOL.

Only the Rocket faster than mine on Topspeed must say im amazed.
Cant hold them on intial accleration by a country mile , so suprised that am going faster at end of straight. Would like to see splits over 100, its probably where mine does well.

Dear All

Awesome day out, top job Redline!!! Nice to meet various people and get a day when so many cars did so well! Well done Ron you jammy git!

There are a few little tweaks needed on the car to see a 9 sec 1/4 and improve the acceleration times a little. I ran one top speed and broke 200Mph first go so didn't have another go, the car was only revving at 7600Rpm in 5th to make 200 so has loads before the 8350Rpm redline!

Car current spec is as below;

(Low Lag) 730Hp & 609LbFt @ 2.1 bar, Klotz race Fuel, 2.2 ND Engine, GT3542 turbo, Holinger H pattern custom dog box with Ikeya sequential shifter.

Best 60 Mph: 2.69 Sec
Best 100 Mph: 5.69 Sec
Best 1/4@ 10.40 @ 141Mph
Top Speed: 200.3 Mph

Good days work!

Thanks

Simon

p.s. 3 Posts now! See IMA i do post...........occasionally

Blimey, I only saw wooden coffee tables when I went there - I didn't know Ikea were selling sequential shifters.

No wonder all these Swedish Cossies are so quick.........

Norry and Rod (and Mark) Well done for all your achievments but you all have
too much money and are off your heads but have big balls

It wasnt long ago over 500 bhp was rare now we see 600+bhp engines everywhere
and now 200mph seems to be the next thing that will be common as muck !
(This is NOT a put down of anybody or their good work)

Simon the best bit is I was the first Cossie and Simon was the first Evo, I think most of the people who wanted to do 200mph first in there class will prob give up on it I know if it was me I would give up and save the cash .

Simon I know what you felt like only its worse when you are doing 1.5mph faster , I am sure you will go faster as just as I know Rods not running his car again as its done all its meant to do, Cool you beat RC with 200hp less and a heavier car .

Si, just seen the vid, why couldn't you launch from a standstill?
Also you seem to have a lot of torque steer, how come i thought they were equal shafts?

Mark - Oh but 1.5Mph really means 50Mph in terms of stabilty! Mine built in 2001, Rod's built in 1801! The RC car is bloody quick though, especially above 150Mph!

RSRussell - Because I have to load the car on the handbrake to build boost before launching, this makes the car creep and trigger the timing gear the minute it moves. Tomorrow I will fit a four wheel line lock and this will solve the problem......9's here we come!

wouldn't launch control or anti lag do the same, rather than using the handbrake to build the boost?

Hi Simon
Do you do a 4x4 system for a Cossie You could read a newspaper & beat mine to 60.
Better get the polish out though 60-100 times were the same & we were quicker 100-150 , 1801 was a good year.
Ballistic initial accleration .

RSRussell - I already have Launch control with no anti lag, only two things will build boost on the line (without anti-lag), more load or more RPM. Considering I was launching on the 8350Rpm limiter and all the load I could apply was the handbrake I was snookered!

All awesome cars Ronnie's car and the Norris car as well as all the other skylines and Porkers. Richie's 1.8 200sx was pretty amazing too, quicker than both GTs I think.
Shame I didn't see anything cosworth running, white escort parked up was nice though

of course, don't know why i put launch control especially as you wanted to build boost.

In all fairness a bloody good handbrake then!

MADRod - You have got nitrous mind you old dog! Mine is just a tired old 70's 4G63 designed beofore your transit engine! What power is yours with the gas? 750Hp+?

EIL132 - I had it on the old Evo 5 and it munched a turbo so have never had it since. I also will not fit it on a cutomers engine due to EGT.
