Default RSOC Web Site....Worth Reading.....Who is this Dickhead.

Maybe you'd like to put your comments like I did. Some plonker just bought an Escort Cossie and starts slagging off Passion Ford.

Maybe you'd like to put him in the picture.........Like I did.

Not wanting to start a slagging match between the two sites, but maybe someone could put him on the straight and narrow.

For people like yourself i will repeat on here what i said on there...

Blimey peeps.... at least USE the forum correctly before slating it eh? Otherwise you must surely be examples of the keyboard warriors you so hate?

GENERAL DISCUSSION ABOUT CARS:
Does indeed contain discussion, about cars and life in general. NOT Fords. It is NOT a room for Ford only discussion, and as such will quite rightly have people in it who also like other cars. Surely, such unblinkered views can be a good thing?

As we are now a very busy community, and have large outings to places like the Nurburgring, track days, big meets etc, we have had to adopt with the times and now have a very busy general discussion section and a very busy muppet room. You dont HAVE to go in there do you? If you are an RS head and want to read only about the cars you personally love, why the hell go in the muppet room or non car related general discussion in the first place?!!?

Maybe Try:

The Escort Rs Cosworth Forum

The Escort Rs Turbo Forum

The Sierra Rs Cosworth Forum

The Fiesta Rs Turbo Forum.

Or maybe just some good old technical advice.

As those rooms are, surprise surprise, where most the RS related stuff gets moderated too. By our non existant moderators...

Please feel free to show me a better, busier, and more on topic, well moderated and unbitchy collection of four Rs only forum rooms for those particular RS models anywhere on the net please...

Ball firmly fired into your court.

I would appreciate an answer if its not to much bother.

This is teh point people are missing.
As a GREAT ezxample... if all the NON Rs Driving people left PF tonight, and no longer contributed, do you realise just whos input you would all lose?

The fact we no longer drive these cars does NOT mean we no longer lime themn, or wish to help people out who still drive them. Nothing could be further from the truth. Look at Me and Tony @ Turbosystems as 2 members off teh top of my head who no longer drive RS's.

These cars are old now folks... its time to accept that teh people who know a LOT about them are also getting on a bit and likely prefer a bit more comfort and reliability than they did in their youth.

I own my S1 still - but I wouldn't (and don't use one) as my everyday hack. That duty falls to a TD Focus but even if I was prepared to have the running expenses of a Cosworth as an everyday car - I'd rather have something German. As Stu says - we're getting older and I prefer a bit of comfort now.

does this mean he's 90% wrong then

i think thats what singles out pf for so much flack
most people here don't own rs's but yet i'd say that the majority have al least owned one in the past and that says a lot for the cars

you get some people who will not be helpfull but they seem to be few and far between
sure there is a bit of cliqueness here but it seems to be more in the seperate rooms rather than on the forum as a whole

i can't see the post either so i can't comment about it

Jim, i LOVE M3's. Ive been saving for one now for about 2 years but keep spending my money on other things..house, brand new van, house, house house lmao... but i still have a passion for fords..always liked fords since i was young.....but ya cant compare them to newer tech and why people do this is beyond me....People just seem to get shot down in flames on here if they mention buying a ford LMFAO

Gotta go with the times...

I have had RS's for 6 years now... wont be getting one again purely because work dictates I cannot have one- which I am gutted about as I wanted a FRS.

I may in the future get a 3dr or Escos purely to sit in the garage for high days and holidays.

I wont slag off Fords, on the contrary I love em... I stay here to pass on my knowledge to new members...

This forum also knocks shit out of all the others...

for example-
VR6 forum- almost none existant
205 drivers forum- run by Nazi type mods and occupied by people who think 205's are the be all and end all- they're not- get over it.
Cliosport- its a joke! The people there are of less use than the muppet room here.
RSOCBB- dont get me started.
The only other board that is genuinly any good that I go on frequently is TurboSport.

Jake

Cruise forums.

Well I go on both, and like both, I must admit I don't see threats of firebombings etc of RSOC like I saw yesterday on PF(I reported it).
I think some people just get a bit carried away on here but the RS500 boys did RSOC no favours of late with bickering.
I have had personal threats via PM(pf) because I have disagreed with someone, but some are of that mentality, that's their problem not mine, people need to take a chill pill, as my lad says!!
I don't like EVO or scoob, but respect them for what they are in engineering terms, I absolutely detest bm's but again repect them as a very well put together car and very capable some are M3/5 etc, my fave is MK1 xr2, and I drive a sapphy cos!!
