cossie no spark

Default cossie no spark

as some of you mite know my engine was fooked

so its just been fully rebuilt etc put it all back in today getting all excited as you do pull ht lead off crank engine over to get oil round check timing again all spot on

so here goes put ht lead back on and crank it over and it dont fookin start got no spark at all

so any ideas what will cause no spark the only thing thats been changed is ive put a brand new 4x4 dizzy in but had to use my phase sensor, put new cap and arm on aswell.

Have you got the crank sensor and knock sensor plugs the correct way round - they are easily plugged into the wrong connectors as they are next to each other and look identical

check phase sensor plug's the right way round?

It can only go one way.


However, inside the dizzy, make sure the phase sensor wires are the correct way round

yes mate as i marked every plug before i stripped it lol plus i dont think mine has a knock sensor its 2wd if that makes any difference

wont have a knock sensor if 2wd.

i had the same problem mate and i found out tht one lil wire from fuel pump to ecu was bad and wasnt sending a live feed so car was a cabbage after replacing the whole loom it was alive and kicking

open up ecu and check all live feeds are live if not u could pin point ur prob

check mapsensor and cps,,,, they would also cause no spark

Map will not cause lack of spark just bad running.
Phase sensor can be wrong way on older ones the top wire of the two brown wires goes to live on the connector on the dizzy side, obviously on new ones it is red to this live.
Check your gap at the phase and cps AFTER you check you have put in the ROTOR ARM, I have done it loads of times!!, coil connected as well
