parked up in a hotel to go and do a job... soppy wanker in an audi had parked nice and pissed so i reversed the van in so i could get out and get at the tool box....was the only spot in the carpark tho...
come back 15 mins later to get some parts and audi has gone .. mirrors have been moved one is cracked to fook and radio aerial broken off.
so i go an complain to the manager.. oh look nice cctv showing audi driver attacking the van.. now fone the police... finish job police turn up get car reg from cctv footage.. take tape as evidence... 2 weeks later get a letter to goto local police station as i need to make a statement... month later am informed that i need to get mirrors replaced as the audi driver has admitted he damaged the van as i had parked too close to him and he had to get in the passengers door.
policeman advised him to either retake his test or learn how to park in a correct manner
so now if i have to park very close to another car as they are complete plums i always take a picture of the side affected showing the gap and getting the reg number in just in case

20K+ Super Poster.
I carry notes stating "TAX REPORTED", printed on nice paper, and laminated, as the authorities are so useless.
Having watched the cars they all had tax within a week, so at least you know they have insurance and MOT as well.
DVLA cannot report a car in a car park, or on private property or one they see driving down the road, unless as part of a joint operation, the police line is we dont get involved.
This year for the worst 5 cars they have evaded tax to the tune of 11 years, the worst was 5 years 3 months out of date and still used everyday, did they have MOT or INSURANCE in this time ?
