while changing a spring on the mondeo
it pinged and bashed my leg a fiar whack
limped along to finish the job but then made a trip to a+e to get checked out
it's quite mashed and bruised but it's not broke

glad your ok but next time maybe try spring compressors and then a couple of bits of rope aswell so your not relying on the spring compressors.

You should speak to Dogsmoke...he was doing the brakes on his MR2 and twatted himself in the face with the handle on the trolley jack and nearly knocked himself out

proper clamps dont ping off only the ones you hook over the spring i use a bench mounted u shaped with clamps top and bottom
i hope your not to hurt at least cozzys are easy and ya dont need to use claps i no most modern springs are 2 foot fuking long

i pinged the bloke next doors rear window out when i took the top nut off while it was still under tension funnily enough i have never done it since went like a fucking gun

 

I did a similar thing when adjusting the arches on my old XR4x4 - twatting away with the hammer, missed the arch, smacked myself straight in the middle of my forehead, hurt like a cunt, but I had to laugh or I would of cryed
