Default T38 + Standard head

Who's done it, and what were the results like?

How much did it get strangled at the top end by the head?

UT38 im on about by the way, the one that is basically just a slightly enlarged escos T34

Yeah ive ended up with a spare one, so thought I might have a go at chucking it on the 3door and giving it a quick remap.

It needs stem seals though, so head needs to come off soon anyway, so was wondering wether or not to port it while its off.

Im not looking for massive power, 380-400bhp would do me fine, so my opinion is that I will NOT need headwork for this, but wanted to hear from others too.

I'll also need something a bit more manly than dark greens of course

I thought the T34 size T38 was ok to use on a standard head, it was the larger TT T38 that would struggle with head work!

I have that set up Chip Live mapped by MSD and its fine. Stu was expecting a bit of surge but never got any. Bit more laggy than my old T34 0.48 but not as much as a T4. Pulls well all the way to the limiter no probs

I have the rolling road graph at home, i'll look later and let you know

You can have a drive of it as long as you don't go cruising past the local high school in it

I have a TT T38 which i have still not fitted

My head has had a mild porting as well but still on standard cams.

I have not fitted it due to being told it might surge,i know it would need remapping.

Steve.
