Default Problems STILL on Pf ,, is it now the norm

As title

Is PF ever going to be fixed or is this now the norm

The slowest website on the net that just keeps logging users out and gives critical errors all the time

If im honest it pisses me of , I pay to trade on this website ( the only website i use that charges ) and its the worst on the net , isnt it about time it was sorted out

Sorry to moan but its been crap for weeks now and its not realy on when people pay

The site is fine for me 99% of the time. Now and again i get the blank page with something about cf database at the top but a quick refresh soon sorts that out.
I have noticed that i do have to keep logging in everytime i visit the site but thats prob something i have changed

What you are speaking about has been sorted since at least 1 month mate. So no, it's not a problem on our end.

Go anywhere else, it's not a problem for me. I've got other things to care about.
Thats the reply I got via a PM when I complained, the bods running this site believe its our problem not theres.

The internet isnt a perfect technology by a long shot.
(If it was Microsoft wouldnt be involved )

There are so many links in the chain between users and the server.

Could be anything or everything.

I rarely have issues on here but I am on Business BT Broadband which is
what all the other ISP's use as their backbone....Make of that what you will....

Having said all that, traders pay for the access to users not the site...

With a site the size of passionford its common to have issues database issues ect and when its pet that hosts the site you don't have a full techy team to sort these sort of problems out

A topic i wrote in the correct room...

We are aware of teh problems currently being experienced in teh evening typically between 7pm and 10pm by many members and are putting plans into place to deal with it over the next few weeks.

Please be aware that it is not possible to do anything at this moment due to issues at petrucci's end with a new business venture he has started but we should be able to take the server offline in a few weeks and put our plans into action.

Hang tight people.

I would love to give my money to a site that worked properly

It`s a joke the SEARCH function only goes back a month or 2 then gets deleted start again whats all that about gets very annoying when your trying to find something

I can understand topics getting deleted after a year or 2 but not after a few months

The RSOC search function goes back almost 5 years without any probs

To be fair, so would ours with only 30 people browsing.

It was done to improve the issue we are having at peak traffic times and the solution mentioned above will fix that too.

Bear in mind we are talking about around 3hrs per 24hr day that we have reported issues, and not everyone is afflicted, so its hardly as bad as some of you seem to make out is it?

How slow is it now with 500 online? Mine is bloody rapid... but im sure some of you are going to tell me its dog slow.

the only problems that are of note tend to happen around the late evening time, between about 7 and 10
i have been logged otu a few times and there are days when you can't get on at all but it's not a problem during the day

Stu

Sorry mate but you always reply with " its fine for you " thats makes it ok then does it ?????

Sorry but i have major problems EVERY night ,,slow as fook , and not just between 7 and 10 pm ,,but then when you express how pisses you are your just a moaning twat arnt you

I use many many other websites ( all free ) and thay are perfect at all times of the day .

I understand Pet is busy , but when you pay money to somone for a service you expect to be able to use that service , and that the service works correctly ,PF Has had problems for months and montha now and when fixed they last a week if your lucky and its back to slow slow slow . surly this is also a business to pet as we are charged by him / you ??? so has PF just been put on the back burner sorry but you cant just forget about one business when starting another

I will probs get a reply now ,,if you dont like it then we will refund you and you can fook off

There must be a reason why certain members experience this poor performance though. Is it our IPs at fault or is it PFs? Is it that some people only have 2mb connections? Are those with 8mb connections and above the ones that aren't affected?

There must be a common denominator somewhere.....

if stu has said that it will be fixed in a few weeks then have we given him the few weeks he/pet needs to fix the problem?

if it's still like this in june you can have a right old moan about it and i can't see anyone stopping you

on the other hand, we should be able to have an update everytime something happens, a post such as "this was the problem and we fixed it double quick" by stu/pet on the main bit of GD when a big issue happens might go some way to at least showing the peole who are affected that they are looking into it

don't forget that they have other jobs to do as well and it may come across as them biting off more than they can chew but i'm gratefull that they did

ok, back to coplaining again

so if i sold you somthing that didnt work correct would you be happy ???

I understand that Stu and Pet are busy , but this isnt just a one of is it ,,its been bad on here for months and months now , and as i said when they fix it its ok for a day or so then back to slow and logged out

As Redkop says , there must be more to it as some have no problems and some have big problems .

Anyway , I have said my bit so will give Stu and Pet a chance to fix it , i just hope its fixed once and for all and we can go back to having good giggles etc on here on a night etc like it was last year ,,we had some good old topics going that kept us up till the early hours , and its a shame we seem to have lost that part of the PF spirit

Even the bust ups were quite funny
