I press the clutch pedal fully down and i can hear a whinning nosie coming from the gearbox........its only when i press the clutch FULLY down. Lift it up and little and it stops.
Also, a update on the gearbox..... I can now get gears 1-5 but still have trouble engaging reverse. Can get it manually but not with the gear stick.

just an idea, as when i did my first xr2 turbo conversion, put a brand new clutch in, along with the release bearing, and it was really really noise for a week, despite it being fitted as per normal- it quietened right down after!!

Also is the box done up tight and true to the block, I had a gearbox fitted by quite a well known garage and only three bolts were holding the box on, when the pedal was pressed the clutch would make a noise , which later became a screech after the bolts worked loose!!!
This was with a brand new box and clutch
