I personally lean towards FastFord simply because I believe that the style it is written in makes it a more enjoyable read, I find the content more informative and it makes no assumptions regarding the readership.

I like them both Carl, both great mags with great staff, although the staff at one are greater than the other

I dont think there is any doubt at all that FF has the biggest circulation though, why exactly do you ask mate?

Fast Ford mags dont fall apart as readily as the Performance Ford mags due to the nature of the binding.

I ve been thinking about advertising in the back of one.

The reason i want to choose one, is down to the readership.
I want opinions from both readers, and dont want to be advertising in a "max power" style magazine and end up with 1000 phone calls a week asking if i can fit neons to a compressor housing. , and as i do more ford units than any other, thought id give one of them a go.

Fast Ford have certainly turned things around over the past few years.

I still think PF is the superior magazine, but from an advertising point of view, you probably have to look at circulation and distribution, which Fast Ford has well covered.

I always thought PF was the better mag for the serious fan as Fast ford used to do some body kitted shite which I hate. But they have turned it around in the last year or so and I now subscribe to FF and not PF.

I also find the photography better in FF and no im not an anorak

This won't help you at all in your decision.

I usually buy both

I also buy EVO and PPC, but not Autocar, TopGear or Car.

Maybe you should start a poll

I always believed Performance Ford was the better mag but Fast Ford has taken on a lot of peoples criticism and have really brough their game up and they are both on a par with each other and I buy both religously.

Having met the guys from both mags on more than one occasion I can say they are good bunch of guys

i find it to be the other way around
the stapled binding means less chance of pages being pulled out when the glue cracks

agreed.

Wasnt their a vote a few years ago on here (think it got lost in the crash) that voted PF the best and no-one actually really liked FF.

Its a great turnaround Simon and Neil are top fellas

I allways prefered PF to FF but as some people have said FF has become alot better in the last couple of years and theres differnt things i prefer in them both.

In FF for example I like Stu's section on explaining the technical things so dumb fucks like me can understand it a little more.

In PF i think the quality of the photography is better and so are write ups about meets etc.

I like reading about the FF and PF garage aswell.

Right well buy both every month , and when im in my bath soaking it up with my ipod in and mag in hand to relax , i find fast ford keeps its shape well and does`nt die on me so easily , where as pf has one session and its staring to throw in the towel , the resons i dont know (bath to hot) mabe a test is in order really , but it does get annoying and find i need to read pf in one go to get stop picking up a soggy mag next time. but hey thats life , you cant have everything

Anyway i think both are greeeeeeat , fast ford recently have upped there game and really likeing it , would maybe feature more types of cars like maybe mondeos or simalar that maybe isnt everyones cup of tea but i like that about them too , but like how in pf you know the guys etc if you know what i mean

My 2 pence worth anyhow

PERFORMANCE FORD, FAST FORD what is the difference ?
I stopped buying them years ago as they were virtually identical in content, you could almost guarantee that if car a was in FF then the month after it was in PF, and vice vera.
PPC is the only decent mag if you ask me followed by Car Mechanics.
tabetha
ps FIESTA and ESCORT are nice too, well the best but not many cars in them.
