I place Adds in both mags

I pay the same for both mags and get great service from both ,,altho i have had big problems with wrong details in FF they have now sorted the issues and have compensated me for the crap service

I do prefer FF mag over PF ( personal choice ) and if i am 100% honest i do get much better responce from FF and would choose them if it came to the crunch

Hope you get a good deal from either and it works for you

Paul

ps,
Simon
Dan
Neil
from FF are a great bunch of fellas

Mel @ PF is very very good at what she does and will look after you 100%

I also have a slight preference for Fast Ford, cos my car was in there briefly on Dans page (after the drifting thing)

I was particularly happy given how pathetic my car was on the day!

Three cheers for Dan

PPC is the only decent mag if you ask me followed by Car Mechanics.
tabetha
ps FIESTA and ESCORT are nice too, well the best but not many cars in them.

i dont buy either aswell,,,

dave walkers bits in PPC is always worth ready,,,

the best thing ive ever read in PPC was about a buy dragging a block up and down high concrete slabs to "skim" the deck face

Out of the two it has to be FF for me. I started getting it in '88 when they had a feature on the RS500 on the cover and just kept on getting it ever since. However, only this last week I've cancelled my subscription because I'm just not reading it anymore, so much so the latest issue with the S1 on the cover is at the recycling bank already.

Car Mechanics all the way....

I like them both for different reasons.

One problem I have is my local paper shop never stocks them

Been buying Fast Ford since it started around 1989.

The staff at the magazines are the problems for me...

PERFORMANCE FORD: Editor Dave for ranting my Focus ST around brands hatch
before I bought it from Ford as an ex demo car

FAST FORD: Dan/Stavros , need I say more

(all in fun of course )

The original question was which is more reputable...

Every couple of months we seem to have a PF V's FF which is better? post!!

Each mag has it's own merits, but i'd have to say that both are a cut above the rest.

I'd say Both are more than reputable.

But PF is the Best

I buy both, & classicford. Cant wait for them to come out each month

I think they both run hot & cold from time to time. I think FF lost their way a little but are back on track now. Agree that PF is hard to find sometimes, but I will drive round till I get it !

Sold all my back issues on fleabay couple of months ago, in just FF & PF had over 300 mags ! guy must have been gutted when he phoned the courier to collect !

The question was which is more reputable and the normal replies of .. I like so and so mag because my car, mates car, mums car, dogs car was featured. Doesn't make any magazine reputable if you ask me. Reputable in what sense is the question? Are they going to take your money for advertisement and never show it? Kinda funny question me thinks LOL

I used to only get FF years ago but the bodykitted cars started to out weight the perfomance cars.
I then started getting PF and I've loved it ever since. Everyonce in a while I'll get FF cause the cover looks interesting which is good, but still.. too many non Performance cars in it for me. I do like that PF were the first mag to start showing us the crazy Norwegian cars before that it was always chip/ injectors and RS500 spec that was the be all end all.<-- My opinion of which mag I like, doesn't mean shit about the reputation.

i but both without fail now.a few years back i went off fast ford due to the manky delta kitted shonkers that were arriving with neons but i have to say they are pretty level now.
if anything i have to sayperf ford need to get a bit more adventurous with thier photos but he content is great well done dave, nick,si and the team
but fast ford have come on in leaps and bounds, simon, dan etc have turned the mag into a serious ford enthusiats mag and they still have thier touch of humour in there too the tech sections written by stu and mike etc have kept me enthralled even if i dont understand it all

as for the advert side of it i'd say fast ford probaly have the bigger section, and better noticed section

i may have to start buying retro or classic ford as i dont get ralleye news from rsoc any more and im running out of stuff to read 2 weeks into the month

the thing is that you can't JUST have performance models in your mags the same way as you can't JUST have bufty cars in your mags
there has got to be a good mix of "nice " and "whoa " as well as a bt of "smarts " with a splattering of "crazyness " to make it appeal to everyone

there aer only so many cossies and rts and frs and st's out there and, without putting a downer on it, it's the same thing with all the shows, you can only see the same cars and teh same mods so many times before they become boring, and, to this end, the pf boys and girls) are just about winning but there have been plenty of across thepond antics from the other side as well

on the other hand, ff does put on ford fair

I asked a friend from the UK to send me an issue of both mags two years ago.

Had a good look through both of them but in the end decided to subscribe to PF. Haven't regretted it so far. Love the grown-up style of the mag, especially the very good technical essays and the buying guides.

However I would love to see a wider variety of cars in PF as from time to time I get a bit bored by the usual suspects (Cossies, RSTs). Aren't there any Performance Mondeos or Performance Grannis/Scorpios out there?

just a thought,if its for the advertising why not put an ad in fast car in between all the porn.that way it WILL get noticed as that where every bloke looks just to see what tits are on show biggest audience going then.
