what paint do they use and is it durable?

they look superb but where do you lay your tools on your yb if you've got a mint cam cover?

I had some wheels powdercoated a while ago and i wanted a 'deeper shine' than powdercoat normally gives...

The guy doing it said he would do a coat of clear for me too as that might look deeper...

I couldnt really tell the difference to be honest but i have to take his word that it exists and that he did it

I can't see how you could 'Clear Powdercoat' something that has wet-painted, let alone air-brushed. Powder-coat needs to be baked.

Niether do i.... but its worth finding out for sure as it could be an answer to the toolshelf troubles.

I would have said normal laquer is as good as it will get. Surely there are plenty of other places to dump tools? Slam-panel, on top of Headlight, Strut tops etc etc??

surely you'd just do it after it's dried? will baking the powder coat get it hotter than it would get on the engine anyway? (i hav eno idea what baking temp is needed)
