his small print:
Electrical pulses in the cars electrical system can cause the data for the dashboard stored on an EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory) to be corrupted. This could happen for example if the battery was discharged and the car was jump started. The corrupt information in the EEPROM may mean that the mileage display for the dashboard is now incorrect.
Another problem may arise if you're car was vandalised. A secondhand dashboard may be purchased from a breakers yard but the mileage display for that dash is likely to be different to the original

If I was buying a Range Rover Id want FSH, clock it back and it wont be right anyway. Might fool you if you never check it over but if you're even half awake you'll be fine and he'll have a car worth nothing cos its unsaleable.

lease cars are a big fav to save the extra cost due to higher miles when they return them

Daz it is illegal if you are offering to clock as a supplier of the service
these chaps have to state a declearation ie we do not clock cars we correct incorrect speedometers etc etc

i remember seeing something like this on tv,a lot of companies pose as electric dash repairers,but really for extra money they offer to clock your car,that documentary with the indian bird hosting it

They probably jsut fuck the cars up anyway. I know that with Mercs if you clock the milage back on the dash it still holds the milage in the car control unit and it will bring up a control unit dash light as the infomation wont match anymore.
