ive got some luke harnesess for my fiesta zetec turbo.
they are only the three point harness as i thought nice and simple to fit, how wrong was i
each harness comes with three eyelet bolts and these screw into the original seatbelt mounting points.
i have got the rear eyelet bolt (where the rear seatbelt mounts) in with no probs. i have 1 of the side bolts in too (the mounting point just below the sill trim but its the other side im having trouble with( by the handbrake)
on a mk3 fiesta you can just use the original seatbelt mounting holes by the handbrake but because i have a later mark 3 (its an n reg mk3.5) the seatbelt is mounted into the seat runners and there is no hole in the floor, and the eyelet bolt is too big.
i have noticed that burton power do sell a plate with a eyelt in but im not sure how to fit it as the mounting point has to be able to withstand 2000kg of force
anyone got any ideas cos i really want to get them fitted
cheers

Cant believe you still havent got this sorted yet
Buy the pre-threaded plates like I said from Demon Tweeks or somewhere similar and get it welded to the underside of the tunnel in the centre in line with the mount on the inner sill. There's no "cheat" for this, you need the plate welded in from behind. If you cant weld it will take a garage no more than 30 mins including sticking the car on a ramp and getting their welder out.
