i would of thought it would be better in some ways
seen a lot of cossies with the filter like that
afte all they are getting a better colder feed from behind th egrill than they would from behind the headlight
also rad rad temps wouldnt cause that much bother as they would be at a resonable temp unlike stuck next to the same side as a turbo

nothing wrong with that
think you need to stop reading books and spend more time using your car, so many people read the idea behind stuff and run away when others do stuff different to the "norm"
sometimes it works and then the same people PREACH about the shite idea they seen all that time ago
think how hot a turbo manifold and housing gets,,,, thats more covered and i bet thats a colder part of the engine if tested with a prob than where the airfilter goes normally when its in traffic after a serious ragging
thats before you think of airflow

gareth im on about people who look at stuff and then give reasons why it dont work based on what they been told before even trying it or thinking about it
happens soo much on here
just like when jim was watching a lap of davecos4x4 saying hes taking all the wrong lines and hes all over he place to get a quicker time than jim got in his more powerfull M3 who took all the right lines
you gonna get me you never seen people coment about about cars and argue what dont work,,,,, when its actually not a bad idea THEN they recomend that idea once they tried it or a famous person in the game does it
im sure this was also done years ago with people claiming zetecs dont rev and thats why cvh's are better engines and will create more power
or im sure i even remember people saying how good ke jet management is and cossie management is pointless aslong as people can set it up right
theres loads of examples and it seems people follow like sheep and dont try things to see what works
who would have thought some cars are more fun with less power than the most powerfull cars when used everyday ?

if you read my post i said yes it would get more forced air being behind the grill, rather than the headlight
i know the turbo and manifold can glow red hot and obviously will get higher temp than the rad
but realistically that doesnt look like its in front of the intercooler??????????????????????
so therefore a waste of time if its behind it dont you think??
and i am having to sheild my airbox side on due to having the front cut off it and it takes in heat from my rad

When testing my car on the rollers, convected heat from my rad was causing probs until we sheilded the air box.

colcos,,, what actual difference does it really mate to the act's and the power of the car,,,, specially considering you live in scotland
i can see why when sitting in traffic on a summers day,,,, but thats it tbh

act`s up=power down....since ive been running t4 on my car it runs a bit hotter than a t35,to the point where even although a cossie has bonnet vents, right above my turbo the paint is starting to crack with the heat mate
and the amount of runs my car has had on the rollers last time i was at ava, must of been on them for 2.5 hours and trying diffrent things with my old induction kit moved up and out of the way i got another 10bhp................................so thats why ive went back to airbox and modified it
