pectel monitor or collins or sesc
I know there has been a few topics on pectel monitors and secs monitors and Collins monitor but witch one would be best to get as I want to use it as a diagnostic in my car so if a crank sensor fail or goes faulty then I would no but was told that the secs one doesn't do that only the pectel ones how about the Collins one does that tell you if a sensor is failing I have the money to buy the pectel but I keep hearing they go faulty and not much people can get them fixed any suggestion welcome plus how are they to use

nope you didn't read it right then I said I have been offered a pectel as I have the money to buy one but wasn't sure on the fitment but after doing a search on here regarding them they seem to have problems . as I only want one as a diagnostic tool on board say for instance my map sensor or my phase sensor goes faulty the pectel will pick up the fault . were as the secs one I was told don't so what would be the point in having it only for it to display number that won't help .I am not sure if this is true about the sesc ones when I was looking at a few post on here people seem to find there problem when they occur from there secs one so dont no whats what now may be you can clear this up

Or your TPS at WOT, when your foot is not on the pedal?
Its all just common sense IMO.
As for Pectel, it will only flag faults that teh ecu reports, and thus it needs most of them to be open circuit, which the SECS does report.
Personally, i favour the IAW monitor on a laptop and use it EVERY DAY. Its the best.. by a stretch.
