For 550 bhp + a T4 isn't going to do it.

Nor is a GT30 - even on some of the larger exhaust housings... AFAIK a GT30 is an ideal 450-530 ish range turbo.

Sounds like a GT35, or one of those fancy Turbos (Turbonetics?) Stavros posted about recently - sure he'll be on a here to supply a proper techy answer to this question!

I know someone with 568 bhp on a GT30, but most people seem to think that is beyong the normal range of a GT30, although I guess that depends on the actual spec of the turbo - seems to be so many variations around.

Hurry up Steve, give the good man some silly power turbo advice!

the correct spec gt30 would be a better opition tbh, because of the space issue,im trying to source a external wastegated manifold to fit it as well.again space is a big issue in it

A GT35 is the best turbo for over 550hp the trick is knowing the correct spec engine to use it .

Can you get a standard 2wd exhaust manifold in there? If so then Martin Hadland does mods on them to fit external wastegates without taking up excess space. Prices on his website.

The Reyland Sierra is 605 on a GT35, not a GT30.

They WANT a GT30 as a GT35 makes the car shit to drive really.

Good boost levels from 4.5k up, but like most T4 engines, boost and power is different, and it dont get SILLY fast till 6k really, esp as its got the largest exhaust housing on it, as smaller ones give too much surge.

I hated it when i first drove it, its grown on me now, but I can see a GT30 being a lot better.

If you wanted 550 max a GT30 or id personally like to try a Turbonetics GTK500.

GTK550 is next up, thats a 600bhp max turbo.

Does look pretty sexy too...
