Default Big thanks to Engine Advantages

Got my cossie set up today at EA and it made:

292 bhp

316 lbft

Stage 1 Ahmed chip, peaking at 20 psi and holding 18. Was well chuffed. Is this right at the limit for standard injectors and turbo?

Its a completely different car now, no missfires or hesitation and smooth as anything. Big thanks to Paul

Seems a bit high for standard injectors!

Fookin good figures, don't want to see you with a pile of molten metal though!

Is the actuator set too high for them yellows/fuel pump?

I was surprised it made such good power although doesn't the gunship conversion make this (or more) power and torque on a standard engine. Either way it feels bloody quick and i'm well chuffed.

As said gunship and others just a different set of figures written in the chip.
I got 288bhp, although accurately with just 14psi, don't think 292 at 20psi very good.

I always thought their rollers were quite accurate. I know PE's rollers over read massively.

Tabetha - doesn't the gunship chip boost to about 24psi in the mid range. 14psi seems pretty low to get 288bhp.

Whatever the actual output, it feels really quick so I'm happy. Took it out for a spin last night and overtaking is so easy

14psi on a stock t3 is pretty low for 288bhp

20psi then 18 isnt high for the power, at that power you are rinsing the fuck out of the turbo, so you get diminishing gains for the amount of boost you run.

If anything 292 is good going for 18psi held, but not away from belief if set up for it.

Stavros - what do you mean rinsing the turbo?

How can 292 bhp be unlikely for 18 psi if 14 psi can make 288 bhp?

Eh

I was sticking up for you

Im saying 14psi is more unlikley to get 288bhp from than 18psi is to get 292!

288bhp at only 14psi seems high.
292 at 18 is more usual.

When you taking turbos to their flow limit 4psi wont get you much extra power, hence why only 4bhp more from 4psi more wouldnt be far out.

I see. I read it as 288 from 14psi but not likely to get the extra 4 bhp from 18 psi

I'm new to this turbo lark and still trying to work out whats what.

nah, results you got are good, at the absolute limits of turbos your never gonna get much more power regardless of pressure.

and on that note, im gonna go get my cars working
