200sx Engine Mods.
Looking at getting an S15 200sx, plan on getting the Vertex kit and hopefully looking to up the power to around 300bhp+
This isn't def going to happen, just want to figure out how much it's going to cost first.
So my question is whats needs to get around 300bhp/350bhp and what would the damage be?
Thanks

Off the top of my head.....
APT Spec GT2871R Turbo with custom Actuator - Ł800 ish - Ł160 labour (plus gaskets)
FMIC and Small battery - Ł380 - Ł200 labour
Nismo 740cc Injectors - Ł360 - Ł50 labour
Apexi PowerFC - Ł500 ish (They are hard to get at the moment) - Ł400 labour (fit and map)
Stainless Exhaust - Ł300 ish (Depending on which one) - Ł50 labour
Front pipe and Elbow - Ł200 ish - Labour included with Turbo replacement
Air Filter - Ł100 ish (again, depending on which one)
Apexi AVC-R - Ł280 - Ł100 labour
Metal Head Gasket is a very good idea - Ł185 for Trust 1.8mm - Ł400 labour
That spec WOULD do 350bhp, maybe more and is a fantastic drive. You wouldn't lose any of the drive quality of the standard car.
Remember that you ought to look at brakes and suspension when going that far though.
I don't think I have forgotten anything.

Was thinking around 3k.
If i'm going to build this car i'm going to be skint.
Add the Vertex kit as well and i'm going to be eating beans on toast for next year.

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
why not just go for a simple exhaust air filter, Horham stage1 chip, which will be around Ł700 all in thats about 280ish, add a nitrous kit with a small 50-75bhp jet job done for well under 2k with very good throttle response. Thats what i done can't beat it for value for money.

10K+ Poster!!
ah right... cool.
my mate has a pulsar gtir and is busy rebuilding his SR20DET engine because he was running a gt3071 @ 1.2 bar making around 270bhp@wheels and he melted a piston on the rollers its now getting steel rods and forged pistons
the standard engines are great up to around 300bhp then it all goes into dodgy territory... it may run fine for ages...it may not... try it at your own risk
his step by step rebuild thread is here if anyone's interested
