Default Uprated Escort cossie front diff??

I am after a good front diff for my escos, and I have been offered a 909 thickwall casing , witha steel plate and with Std ratios and 909 internals for £485,

Just wondering if this is a good deal, and If the 909 casing is any different or just a selected casing, and would I be better off buying a quife thickwall to save any messing around?

are you saying you want a real pukka front diff ?

if so they cost

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Gp-A-Motorspor...QQcmdZViewItem

if not then many uprated modified std units are available, but that is the real deal pal.

I would love that one markk, but at that price It'shalf of what I paid for my car , I know quality costs but there is striking a balance, but thanks for the link

Basically I want a diff that isn't going to shit it's self every time I put some power down through it, And It has to be said I am tempted by the 909 item, just need to find a bit more about them out, as i don't want to be stung by a non gen 909 bit

Well, I asked for pics of the 909 diff, and thats what they sent me.... You can see the steel plate ( how much of a difference do theese make?) but Unfortunatly I don't really know anything about 909 parts or thickwall diffs, as I am new to 4x4...... So basically they are trying to palm off a std diff as a uprated one??

What the fuck was I thinking??? - I suppose everyone likes a bargin, but a £485 Std front diff is not really a bargin ...... Before I write them a nasty E-mail telling them to go fuck themselfs, Std casings were never 909 marked were they? I take it this "selected" nonsense was just ford picking out the slightly high tolerence cases? .... I am almost tempted to contact trading standards, the cheeky wankers

This is EXACTLY the email they sent me.....

Hi
I can sell you a 909 thick wall diff with steel plate 485 pounds , std ratio 909 internals
Regards
Andrew

I do, hence why I asked on here to confirm what it was first , as I had a sneaking suspicion that it would turn out to be duff...... What a surprise from ATM , But I was kinda hoping that they might turn up trumps occasionally The horror stories seem to be true.. wankers
