I despratly need to get into the mum in laws PC as she has cocked it all up.
Some knobber @ NTL told her to change the passwords now nothing works according to her.
BEcause passwords have been changed she cannot send a remote support request to me as it wont send an email.

Any one know of a web site which would allow us both to connect that way have used them at work but cannot remember the site.

ask her to type ipconfig find the address,

talk her though ticking remote assitance and bob is your fucking auntie

you can do it via windows messenger i think. not the msn one

 

run real vnc and set up and an account with noip.com which will track her dynamic ip address

 

VNC is good (as is remote desktop) but http://www.logmein.com/ is the absolute dogs bollcks!! its free, its web based, works in IE, works in Firefox, supports multiple monitors and best off all it goes over http and needs no port forwarding etc and goes straight throuh firewalls.

There is not much software that impresses me anymore but this one certainally does....
