jim water pump on a bmw means overheating,,, i know MINE done that and it was due to the wanky plastic blades giving up and no longer spinning thus not pumping water round

what was the bill you paied for a pump ?

the upgraded METAL blade pump is 40 qiud from euros

you sure it wasnt just a gasket leaking ?

Good move changing the pump.

if its a 97 or before you could have the plastic blade version. I have just changed mine and the thermostat pre a trip to the ring *just* in case it failed in service.

All good maintenance on a BM.
