so what do people think about running in a turbo is ther such thing

We ran a GT42R at 47psi of boost once and i don't think it'd been running more than 5 minutes - so no.

Just make sure you prime the turbo and get oil flowing through it before you kick its head in and all should be well

no wonder you bunch of monkies have accounts at TT


seriously though,...

after a rebuild, our units do get balanced and tested, however, they are not tested in "real life" (read, hardcore pf stylee rapage) ,

we advise customers around 20 ish miles once fitted after priming obviously, just to be on the safe side, before killing it to death with a "i wont be beaten by that evo" right foot...

still metal rubbing against metal


also, as a second thought, its good to give a few miles to check for any mishaps,...
ie, not putting certain pipes on, dont want it boosting 8 billion psi and blowing to bits after shelling out 500-1000 for a unit

well, its up to the customer, and as there is no sure way of proving they have been gently for the first few miles if it went bang through blatant abuse, so we may aswel bin the advisory sheets....
