(i) “Spent convictions”: after a certain period of time (the length of which
depends on the sentence imposed) all convictions (except those resulting in a
prison sentence of more than 30 months) are regarded as “spent”. The
offender then becomes a rehabilitated person who is treated largely as though they had not committed the offence. The convicted person does not have to reveal the conviction or admit its existence in most circumstances.

A sentence of longer than 2½ years in prison will never become “spent”;

Check it out here.....

http://www.lawontheweb.co.uk/rehabact.htm

Most offences are considered "Spent" under the rehabilitation of offenders act after a set amount of time....

SPENT means that you no longer need to say them but IF you are awaiting a conviction then you cant apply!

Check sites for details but e.g Convicted when over 18, with between 6 months to 2 1/2 years jail.

10 years before you don't have to declare.
