any common faults?
going to look at a couple today after selling the focus rs yesterday.
are they really a lot better than the 330 petrol?

it did its job on the germany trip, even though the water pump was slightly leaking-all fixed now and in new hands.
was thinking about buying an e36 m3 evo cab,but then thought about a 330ci coupe or cab.then thought about trading the landcruiser in and getting a 330 diesel sport-saloon or estate.
problem is now i have no rs for central day as im fucked if im going in the rs1600i

Yeah a lot better imo. the torque is awsome!
thing to look out for usual car stuff really, if its be remap put the car into 4th at 30mph and put foot flat to floor! if hear rumbling the centre doughnut on the prop needs to be replaced. Common problem for them.
cheack SV joints etc as they are not cheap to replace! think mine was just starting to go though not 100% sure as would get a very slight wobble at 80mph on slight left turn.
Other than that generally bullet proof. i didnt have any problems, and was the best car i have ever owned. kinda regret selling it, but hey ho!

I'm starting to really like the E46 now. I love the way the dash just goes in so nicely if you know what I mean.
I've been a passenger in my cousins 330 cab. It was an auto and the gear change was so smoth you just heard the engine change note, no jerks whatsoever.
They seem pretty cheapish now too!
