I sold my beloved turbo about 3 weeks ago, but shes gone to a good home

Now driving a scooby doobey do, R reg facelift turbo, its lovely and power steering is a boost but there will never be another Swan (as I called it)

Get really emotional everytime I see one cruising about aberdeen, tempted to go get another one.

Dave gutted isnt the word. I used to speak to it n everything, what a job my dad had scrubbing 2 years worth of lipgloss of the steering wheel where I used to kiss her everytime I got out hehe

scoobs are a lot more modern and your right, much much cheaper for the same if not more power but then if your into your fords your always gonna have a soft spot for the king...

I dunno, just fancied a subaru. I initially set out to get a cheap K plate wrx or something but ended up finding a nice facelift one and it will now be my "good" car until I can afford Ł15k for a cossie. At least the scoob is mine and ive paid for it, its called living within your means!

Shame the S2 is gone and that you’ve moved away from Ford, but seems to be a natural progression

I had a classic shape Scooby and loved it, was only 209bhp but the AWD is great but I found the car very thirsty regardless how I drove it or whether on a run or not.

Sadly the Escort cossie has been left way behind by its Japanese rivals - Ł15 on a Sierra cosworth with an Escort shell on top, or an Evo, sadly I know which one I’d choose (a RWD saph! ) no seriously the Evo

I moved on from an 88 rs turbo to a my04 sti and its the best move i ever made. Will still have a soft spot for the fords but you cannot compare an escort with an impreza
