Hi mate

I only know it because I drive past it every time I am in Newquay on Business. I am sure it is fine, but it is some signficiant distance from the centre of Newquay. If it is a boozy holiday you have planned, then choose somewhere a little closer.

I have stayed at this site before and it is fine.

The good thing about this site is that they are (were) a little more relaxed with all male parties.

Probably because they are so far out of town (see above point from JJ, it is a bit of a trek in.....)

Silver's point may normally be the case, but over the RTTS weekend (last bank hol in May) they are VERY ANTI all male groups. Couples and families only.

May be different if you're planning on going another weekend.

I'm staying with a few other Passionforders at Crantock Beach, plus a few others off here (Basky etc) are staying at the neighbouring site (possibly called Monkey Tree, maybe?)

Distance wise - not a problem - as most sites have mini bus services for a Ł1 each way. Billy bargain!

Are you going there for Run to the Sun?

Stayed there for about 6 years for the Tour Of Cornwall Rally before it moved down to St Austell.

We even drove 4 rally stages round it lol

Fine for a young kids / family holiday

Typical big club with entertainment, big pool with water slides etc, outdoor pools, burger bar, shop etc

Its clean and the vans are well serviced

Crantock beach is cracking beach if you are going down to surf - and much quieter than fistral.

Another good site is/was Trevella which is on the way from Newquay towards Crantock.

Should have spoken to more people, as I met a few new faces and talked to loads of folks I've met before at the shows, so sorry for not saying hi at the time!

Sunnyside - have been there too!

As said, very boozy site - kinda 18-30s only though, hope you like loud music and general roudyness! Showers and facilities generally aren't the best, but as a place to crash, with a good lively atmosphere it's great.
