thats who ive been looking at for the last few weeks on ebay. Prices are excellent, and ricky_3dr built his engine up from their parts, and said they were all genuine cossie stuff.

Theres something about woodford i dont trust for some reason.....

I bought a high pressure pump and bearings from GGR off ebay - the pump is a pattern part with the spring kit in, but will be fine, but they sent me pinto lower main bearings shells - I was advised that they wouldn't be good enough, so I took them back and they did a straight swap for the correct cossie bearings.

Look at the cosworth website (on the Heritage page) - the bearings are a good price and you know that they will be right. (for example, for the 5 lower main shells, my local dealer wanted £91, GGR wanted £50, but direct from cosworth would have been about £31)

actually, just looked on cosworth website, and the bits are LOADS cheaper. Do the prices on their site include VAT?

Woodford cheaper than GGR (lots usually), and I have never had an issue with Woodford parts. I use them a lot becuase I can drive there and pick up parts.

Notwithstanding the ebay GGR sales, their normal sales always used to be of the upper end of both price and quality.

I dont believe anything much has changed

Always had very good and quick service from the GGR ebay shop

Found them to very good on price and even returned phone calls very quickly as well.

Will use them again.

I’ve rebuilt my Escort Cosworth engine using only GGR parts. I had them do all my machining as well, such as reboring block, head porting etc. etc.

Fantastic service, and would definitely recommend them.

the bearings were originally made for ford, by Glacier Vandervell and cam with both ford and vandervell logo's...

the ones sold by GGR are made by vandervell, just without the ford logo....they are exactly the same though

Yeah i remember taking my standard ones out and seeing both logo's. Might phone up cosworth and see how much they charge for complete bearing sets.

Lee, why do you want a high pressure pump? I heard mixed reports about these when getting my rebuild done years ago, also not sure if they are higher pressure or just greater flow...

I used Woodford for my bits and Burtons, both spot on.

I had a GGR Pump and bearings when I rebuilt mine, but the pump failed before I even started it, I fitted a genuine cosworth one from woodford and that has been fine, the bearings from GGR were not genuine but seem to be ok so far (hope they last). However on returning the pump I had loads of trouble with GGR and would never use them again for anything as they gave me contradicting stories and they just treated me as if my business don't matter. I would think twice about using them and look at prices from cosworth as unless you saving loads not worth the bother.
