7 nights is too much !!!

3-4 better, then move to somewhere a little less crazy

its awesome, you will love it

I stayed at www.wjhotel.com - nice place near times square, walk everywhere. You know its a good hotel when the airline staff all stay there. All hotels are mega expensive. Just book a flight online and a hotel seperate. Taxi is a flat fee from the airport, cheap.

We've got 4 nights booked in June for New York (heading down to Florida afterwards for the rest of the holiday!). We're staying at the Washington Jefferson Hotel on 51st Street (I think!). Pretty cheap for a decent looking hotel, was someone from here that recommended it to us! www.wjhotel.com

yeah we've noticed the price

looking at about Ł2500 for 7 nights

you reckon 7 nights is too long? not enough to do/see?

thought we'd go for 7 nights so we could get round everything as i doubt we'll ever go again

but seeing as i've never been before i aint a clue

aha, there you go

cfoster with the perfect plan

you could live in that place for 10 years and still not eat at every resturant, 4 nights is well enough then go grab some sun.

Its mega fast paced and full of hustle and bustle, If your going over the pond then I would do something else aswell as. I went for 3 days once, hit the clubs, saw guns n roses play the garden and walked about a lot, I came back a jibbering wreck - you need downtime there more than anywhere. NYC isnt the place to chill.

Book 3 flights and no cars, London to NYC, NYC to Miami, Miami to London and go chill on South Beach for a few days, it wont be much more expensive but you will find it a lot more relaxing. Cab it everywhere, its cheap as chips over there for a cab and no parking issues.

I went in January with the girlfriend was fuckin freezin but had an awesome time, its a piece of piss to find your way around. We went for five days and still had few things we missed out on doing. I booked it all through expedia.com and chose my flight times to suit me.
Stayed in the Roosevelt hotel and it was lovely

http://www.theroosevelthotel.com/

paid about Ł900 for the two of us

well you could see everything in five days, maybe even catch a knicks game, but if you are going with the missus then she will want to shop so 7 Go on a city bus tour as well the guides are really informative. Any questions just ask mate

I have no problem meeting up with you and the gf. Besides, not all the touristy stuff is in NYC. If you want a nice view take the path train to Jersey City (Exchange place) exit the boardwalk and view Manhattan in all it's glory.

LOL at Jimmy Choo shoes, she has expensive tastes LOL. My sister works at Tiffany's (not in the store, manager in the office)

How cold it is depends on what Mother Nature feels like suprising us with. This Jan it was pretty warm but then BOOM, FREEZING! how cold? I'll put up the pic when I'm home.

So yeah, send me a PM or whatever. I would offer you to stay with us but I may be moving out.

I spent 4 nights there and IMO that was DEFO enough especially with the missus
Prepare for a big spell of shopping it did my nut in
Nice place though other than that loads of nice restaraunts etc and places to see, ground zero/empire states/staue of liberty etc.
As said though i would go somewhere else after a few days and chill, i went to Vegas from there for 7 nights and that was to much as well
