Default Ordered my Turbo.

T38

Apparently a very good turbo that can run 34psi all day ...Dynoed at 437bhp on 4 greys at 27 psi the other day.

What did Yum acheive??????450 on 4 x greys???

Now do i run 8 or 4 injectors??????If 8 it would have to be greys as greens are out of stock for a good while

Advice 4 or 8 greys for 450bhp??????????????????????????

erm 4 yellows and 4 greys perhaps?

you can always swap em later, just need a laptop and a calculator to work out the required fueling changes in your mappable ECU :P

Phil to achieve 450 on greys, you will need to up the fuel pressure .

Yum achieved 467BHP 422lbft at 2.2bar using 1000cc injectors .

Phil

Frying pan to Fire You will need to look at engine spec to stop surge,
T38 is a very good turbo but needs a good spec engine to work correctly,
Easy 460hp turbo at one point we saw 473hp on Yum and if we had screwd the turbo I am sure we would see 480hp,
I spoke to TT today and they said only a couple of Tuners have got this kind of output .

Mark.........surge is just a minor obstacle in this game called life

I could run a flat 1.7 bar on the T4 with very little problems.....will a T38 be worse?

Also Phil, with the MD240R "mild" Anti Lag would not be a problem

Steve the problem was surge issues....major apparently on that turbo defeating the object of quick spin up...PLUS the oil inlet is VERY small and was told even a speck of dirt will fuck the turbo...and my last TD T4 fiasco i thought better of it.

The T38 was Ł750 OUTRIGHT the MD240 R was Ł1200 exchange

Phil, are you sure?

How could the MD240R be "exchange" - being a roller bearing turbo the core is not recoverable anyway - so it's scrap if badly damaged AFAIK

Yes, it alters the peak pressure wave point on the exhaust stroke. Higher the comp, the worse the surge, "Normally"

They wanted a T3 exchange.......

Stu..it aint specced that bad!!!!!

Originally it was based on Derks the only difference being he used bigger valves

Only difference now is higher comp 7.9-1 instead of 7.1.1 PLUS EEC4 inlet and throttle body and a T38 instead of a T4

As always, im takin the piss, you know, like you do

I hope you break the 900 barrier to be honest.

That turbo needs head ports and cams to be spot on from what ive seen of it but ive only seen 3 of em.

Just get the fooken thing built and mapped and on the frigging road then get your ass down the Norfolk meet so me and Mike can put you on the spit big boy

No point in asking questions as you NEVER ONCE listen Either let a tuner sort the spec and be happy with it or hurry up and build it pay large amounts for ahmed to map the surge out of your shonky specced engine
