t3 rebuild

Team HOTHOT!
I just scrapped a few compressor covers aswell from cosworth TY3 turbos
No specialist tools really, but you will need a 12 sided socket to remove the nose nut - off the top of my head it should be 11mm
and be very carefull, marking everything before you remove it to make sure it goes back in exactly the same place - this will minimise the chance of the turbine shaft + wheels becoming out of balance

Mark them so you know where they will re-line up and all will be good.
take extra care when removing the bearings etc etc, and you will need a small pair of circlip pliers that compress the circlips

instead of painting, give the exhaust housing a going over with the wire brush on a drill - brings it up quite nice
Also the most important bit of advice I forgot is - take your time and do not rush

T3 Kits contain
1 shaft nut (lht)
1 seal plate gasket
4 Seal plate bolts
1 Compressor cover gasket
2 journal bearings
4 journal circlips
1 front oil seal
1 rear oil seal
1 270 thrust bearing
Full kits contain above plus new bolts clamp tags, lock tags but are genuine garrett
basically if your doing a rebuild for use then basic is fine,if its for cosmetic reasons ie bufty then full kit is best
