Id pay around 6k for a nice new S14a Touring with leather, some are more, some are less, but 6k gets you a bloody quality one these days.

300bhp is easy, but first just bash on a FULL zorst, filter, big front mount intercooler, and 15psi boost is your first step, and will get you a good and REAL 280bhp, 160+mph, and power right round to 7500rpm.

Handles, stops, looks, and goes better than a Stg1 cossie easily.

Stuff doesnt cost much, and its well reliable, jus go buy one

Oh, 19s go on with no arch mods too...

Bren from Apex performance has white 18" MOs on his S14a, i think the wheels are a bit motorsporty for a flash looking car like that myself.

8x19 front and 9x19 rear deep dish Image HTs i reckon

I knew you would help me get those shit Ford blinkers off him...

I was talking to him about performance and hadling dynamics and getting no where...

I then moved on though and finally got through with this argument....

"your single again now yes?

whats going to pull more birds, a newer and sweeter, sexy and modern looking s14a slammed on 18's with leather and aircon.. that goes well, handles well and doesn't break down...

OR

a nasty, smelly piece of shit saff that looks like a mini cab and always breaks."

Apologies to any saff owners... I don't hate them that badly, I just think a funky and single young guy like Lewis will be better off with the Nissan... different for an older person or a family man of course

ive had both mate and defanately prefuer the cossie. you d have 2 spend ŁŁŁŁ getting it to 350bhp, where as its fairly simple on a cossie. s14a s look a bit better than most cossies. but its just not a cossie

350bhp costs loads?

How?

Exhaust, filter, intercooler, fuelpump, set of s/h GTR injectors, suitable chip (off the shelf from horsham developments now if i remember right), 300ZX AFM, plenty o boost, possibly bigger turbo (i forget), wammo, 300+ no probs, not sure if std turbo can do 350, but nor can a cossie one either, but std engine can.

Well cheap, even a set of GTR injectors (440cc) costs 50quid!

People put allsorts on em, come with a really good T28 as std thats meant to be good for 300 if i remember right, then people put allsorts on em, mainly variations on T28s and ballbearing GT28s good for 400bhp+ cost under a grand from Bren, or weld a different flange n put a T34 on em, or go the whole hog with a different manifold n turbo alltogether.

Bren/Apex even does a stainless tubular manifold for 200quid

Bits genuinley cost feck all now, thats why they popular.

Steve,

How strong are the bottom end's on these cars. I'm tempted to get one as my next motor (liked them for a long while) but can they run to like 100k+ at 300bhp like Cossies can?

Cheers,
Ian

Lew- You sayin S14a 200SXs are nearly 300bhp? No, they 205bhp like cossies are And that SX you linked to is gay If you gonna get one, do it properly!

Ian- One of my friends S14a's has done about 120k now, TOTALY abused and running filter/zorst/cooler/15psi and as good as the day it was made, so IMO they far more likely to not blow up than a std engined cossie at similar power.
