quick question about twin amps on wasted spark

Default quick question about twin amps on wasted spark
my problem on my cossie wouldnt be not having any paste stuff between the plates and the amp as there just straight on the twin bracket from msd? do they need to be isolated from these plates?

The "paste stuff" is HEAT SINK COMPOUND, and yes you do need it.
Available from MAPLIN's(norwich) for a few quid.

1 ignition amp gets hot the other dont? any ideas

best way of testing the amp ie i have a multimeter what wires do i test
