they common as shit, and FAR from the nicest stuff you see on an average day round here.

my mate was about to get rid of his E36 M3 Evo for an SMG M3 as he liked the looks so much, but he had the car for a day on test and even that long bored him as it was that much slower, so he called the deal off.

and he just a normal road driver, not a hardcore track person etc who would most likely notice the main advantages of the E36.

Although i have to agree with the other folk, M3's aren't that special or un-common around these parts either.. Rather have a 330d tourer myself Now they are alot rarer around here that e46 m3's!

Oh I agree they're common as round here.Just saw one tonight up close for the first time and just really liked it.

Just cos somethings common doesnt make it not nice. Wouldnt bother me if 3 people on my street had one...its what we are currently saving for Well, by the time ive got enough ill want something else though as ive just ordered a new van

Like Stavros said, must be shit cars around by you. I live in the middle of Cardiff, on average I will see an easy 5-10 E46 M3's a day (not in white, granted). Also seem to be able to spot at least one really nice car each day, there is lots of Maserati's, Ferrari's, Porsche's, Aston's and Bentley's.

I saw a DB7 Vantage Zagato today. I never knew they existed before seeing one.

No, I live on City Road. It's a shit hole, all these nice cars that I see never actually stop.

There is also a nice Noble that belongs to the owner of a garage on City Road.

I don't count driving past a dealership as seeing the cars, I mean actually out and about.

Oh yeah i'm not saying they're rubbish or nothing and i agree, if everyone in my street owned one i'd still want one as they're a lovely car, that said a 330d for example is just aswell engineered as the M. imho all E46's are in a class of there own even more so when compared to rivals at the time of launch in 99'?

It made him realise its POWER that hes bored of even in his chipped E36 Evo, not the looks etc.

He on about keeping the M3 and getting a Saff Cossie now too just to get the power he wants

as a stock car goes i like the m3 it can be an all-rounder, they are common like the xr3i's were lol

e30 m3 was too much a racer for the road and the e36 m3 was a softer m3 and i think with the e46 they got best of both worlds

tbh im not a big fan of the e46 m3,rather have the 330ci as it looks classier i think.but its its got to have an "m" badge it has to be e49 m5 or e30 m3 ok not the performance of the new one but its a true classic that looks stunning.
