Boost Comes 2 Late ????

I have a series 1 turbo,which was going fine till last week....then it started to miss and would not idle,so we played about till we got it idling,but the turbo does not spin up till 4-5 rpm and it still not idling properly...

what could course this...i can not hear any air leaks

did you do the full on idle setting, disconneting that plug off the back of the thingummy [god I'm sh!t hot and technical] and then revving up to 3000rpm for 30 seconds to reset the ECU?
