You will like the car.
Its not cossie fast but it keeps up with most things and handles brilliantly.
I am getting 26.8 mpg on a decent run driving it pretty hard !
Just remember to keep saying to yourself - This is a FORD not a volvo

5 door for
sensible reasons....
i could say that teh 5 door is more rigid than the 3 door so will handle better, but that would sound like making excuses

Enjoy
Is that true? I thought 3 door's were more rigid. The 3 door version of the Mk4 Golf has less chassis flex than the 5 door so I'm assuming it will be the same for most cars.

Testing the future
before ragging it, do a few basic checks like oil level, tyre pressure etc. it's not unkown for the pdi to miss things
then enjoy
i like the 5 doors, more practical then the 3. like a sapphire cossie in some ways. more of a surprise for other drivers

checked all round it, all A ok,
paint match is spot on, its got he MY07 black xenons and the 11 row intercooler. , no rattles squeaks or vibrations, and the brakes and handling are very very impressive for a FWD car.... i bet its actually quicker than the escos (even though its 100 brake down) down my favorite back road just becasue its always in the power band and there is no lag -

Where you in warrington birchwood area at around 3pm yesterday (4/04/07) going on to m62? Seen exactly same car on 07 plate with some guy in a light blue shirt driving, and i thought the car looked very nice in that colour, but was surprised it was a 5 door, gave it a bit of a bootfull going towards motorway,my silver mondeo was no match though.
And dont talk to me about waiting for a brand new ford. My new transit was ordered in september last year, with a delivery date of 15th dec,it arrived at the dealers from turkey 3 weeks ago,and i still haven't taken delivery. The latest excuse is that they ordered the wrong roofrack for it (low roof instead of medium roof). I have been putting jobs off since january because i only have a mondeo estate, and my blood is starting to boil now!
