Spiky i would just play about with them untill you find a balance your happy with tbh. Start at 32psi all round for example and just raise or lower a few psi till you find a balance you like the balance.

I used to run my DC2 ITR with 32psi front and 36psi rear as that was the best balance for me.

Track temperatures will be higher thus the tyre will become over inflated if normal pressures are used.

If you can measure the temps (straight from a 'hot' lap) then do this and try to get them even across the surface.

Ill be starting around 28psi i think.

NuTsRS (Tony) is the man for this topic tho.

Spiky,

I have extensive experience of R888s on my 205!

For track use (and depending on the track etc) I use approx the following :

Front left tyre at 21psi cold, and it will be 28-30psi hot after a couple of laps.
Front right tyre approx 24/25 cold
Back tyres approx 26/27 cold.

They are my base settings based on a 205 used at Castle Combe, Donington and the Nurburgring... i would start with something like that, do a session on track, pull off and measure them hot and see where you're at! I tend to aim for 28-30psi hot pressures....

Enjoy!

nice one

what you reckon i should do with the eagle f1's???

roughtly the same? or maybe 1 or 2 psi high than above??

i'm guessing at llandow the same the pressure apply, though the bus stop is going to make lunch meat of the passenger front

Spot on advice & explanation from Paul J. Incidendentally Paul - I'm collecting your R888s and 6 for me tomorrow. Will give you a buzz as soon as I have them to arrange to get them to you

Thought Sketchy boy would be on here, he's bloody anal when it comes to his tyre pressures, but it works. His pressures made a huge difference to my Pug too, I was surprised how LOW you start out on, and how high the tyres get when hot.

Go with Sketch, then if you have a few sessions experiment a bit to find what you like.

Also, go easy on first lap or two to get used to them and let them warm up, and ENJOY them for the folllowing laps. They do work.

Why did you sell it? I thought the spec looked excellent on Ebay, and you (and Karl of course) did a lot more too it (so it ran right etc)

What happened? Did you get on track with it?
