just get a wheel brush that you can really scrub the dirt with...wonder wheels is good, but very harsh and can damage the lacquer, so rinse it fairly quickly and give the wheels a good polish afterwards

scrubbing brushes are sooooo not needed,
what you need is acid wheel cleaner, spray it on and then blast it
off with the high pressure cleaner jet washer.
if you keep painted alloys polished they always come up great

If you clean the wheels once a week or something then you dont have to buy any special wheel cleaner as it doesnt have time to build up and bake on

take the wheels off one by one scrub untill they are spottless and then give them a damn good pollish the dirt doesnt stick to them any where as bad and usually just rinses of with the hose wheel cleaning fluid just fucks the wheel especially if they have been kerbed
