Default BTCC and Ford

How come we don't have any cars in the BTCC any more??

I'm not familiar with the rules and regs but could it be that they don't build a car/engine suitable? Though thats probably unlikely due to the fact that there's cars ranging from Civic/Leon size up to Vectra/Toledo size out there

I remember the Mondeo in mk1 and mk2 being used in the 90s, so what happened? They must still be bothered about running motorsport teams as the Focuses (focii?) are still flying round the WRC courses

and the mk1....albeit in RC form

I remember there being a mondeo in the original TOCA game on the PSX too

You may have missed the news lately, but Ford are broke and have no spare cash for any Motorsport, apart from WRC.

back in the late 90s the cost for the teams went out of control so they pulled out theres talk of them coming back in in the next couple of years.

Ah i see

I'm sure it's good advertising though surely? Watching BTCC last year certainly made me want an Integra

new Civic Type-R did bloody good today as well to say they only got the car actually finished in the last few days

couldn't be further from the truth , in fact the drive towards the super 2000 regs is to make it MORE of a Production saloon car based formula
