yeah its VERY heavy.

it's heavier than a car without PAS tho, so dont assume all non-PAS sierras are like that

When i got my focus, i'd had it a month (from new!) i was reversing out of a parking space and the wheel was really heavy, looks at the LCD message centre and it comes up with "steering assist failed" hmmmm i thought, had to give it some real welly to get the wheels to turn. turned the engine off and restarted it (i'm an IT consultant, if in doubt, reboot it) and it was fine. Took it to benfield, they plugged it in and said it was something to do with the loom, fixed in 5 minutes and has been fine since. was really surprised at how heavy the steering was without PAS though, never driven anything without PAS before

I drove my white one with no belt on for 2 weeks cos the pump was leaking when it was turning. After I got used to it I actually preferred it, but Im just strange.
