WHAT A CRAP BIKE!!!
Today I needed to go on a 60 mile return trip so i thought I'd take it a Ducati monster 600 for the ride...we had just p/x'd it and I've never ridden one so I thought I'd give it a go...
WHAT A PIECE OF SHIT
it refuses to do anything more than 160 km/hour with me on it, wobbles like there's no tomorrow at that speed, brakes feel wooden, it's too small and cramped for my size, it won't rev, any modern diesel car will be quicker of the lights and it's yellow
I hate it when a bike's this dissapointing, how about you?
A few more:
Suzuki TL1000R: lovely engine and looks, comfy but evil handling
Suzuki SRAD: gutless bulky bike
Honda fireblade 99 upwards: boring looks, brilliant everything else
Ducati 916/996: nice sound, crap riding position, slow
Kawasaki ZX9R: crap engine, big but comfy
Suzuki Hayabusa: comfy. quick, reasonable looking, doesn't like corners
Yamaha R1/R6: mostly overrated
How about your vieuws?

What , reasonable looking!! good lord, it is one of the damned ugliest pieces of junk ever inflicted on the bike buying public.
Got any early blades?

Well looking from the front I quite like the stacked lights and the front part with the fairing hanging over the front wheel it looks like it's going fast, even when standing still.
Early blades...got 2 or 3, never liked them...very oldfashioned style bike now, not that quick and akward size frontwheel.

Lots of people comment on the Busa being ugly but i think it looks quite good.
Handle better than imagined, tho you know its a BIG bike.

I've got to admit when I got my TLR it handled like a Bag of but after fine tuning the suspension settings and changing the tyre profiles it now sticks to road better than any other bike I've ridden.
Have you ridden the Honda Blackbird which I think is a superb bike but you don't relise what speed your doing.

I dont know anything about bikes..
but, going on what you have written there,
are there actually any decent bikes out there then?
as it seems you have slated most of them lol

Yeah, just needs more physical effort to turn it in and it doesn't like quick direction changes BUT it's stable through corners and on the brakes, unlike the TL1000R wich tried to spit me off mid corner a couple of times
Needs to loose the rotationdamper and firmer damping at the rear

...you obviously aint ridden a 916sp then ..even the bp will do a 10.7sec quarter so hardly slow. ..i agree on the position though its evil..track bike only really.
R1 certainly aint overated..very scaryly fast!...Same as the 2000 model R6 very nice bike...R1 feels too wide though for me and really an a road racer.
Fireblade i didnt like (2000 model) boring, too big...i understand the latest one is the bollocks though...

Phil, the SP won't be a lot better than the 996 with Ohlins suspension and marchesini wheels etc. I've got over sitting over here...
Quick for what it is maybe but compared to a 4 cylinder not quick...
it's relative obviously, any racingbike is quick!

what year ? the old one were slow, the F2p struggles to keep the front on the floor
Suzuki Hayabusa: comfy. quick, reasonable looking, doesn't like corners
dont agree , std colours dont do its looks any justice, i can think of worse bikes round corners
Yamaha R1/R6: mostly overrated

my ZX9R is ok, a few mods and tweeks, its about right for me, ive tried most bikes and i agree with the duc stuff you say, the only bike that made my ears prick up was the gsxr1000, 06 model, it was a bit of a handfull but still fun to ride...
9R all the way still for me.. all boils down to personal preferance tho

Read about a motorbike in one of the bike mags, it was a V4 configuiration engine. made by some motorsport team, looked fookin gorgeous was white. Not too good with bikes but thought to myself how nice that bike would be.

Phil: compared to a 1000 cc four a Ducati is slow, yes...it's not slow for what it is though.
As for torque: tried riding a 2-litre harley
Like I said before: it's all relative!
TSM: lol, the list is not a list of bikes I don't like, just a few of the top of my head with some comments good and bad on them!
ZX9R: gearboxes and bottomend bearings tend to go...
Other than that quick and comfy.

Never ridden the zx12 but I would have guessed it would be quicker than the 9
Early model Busa was plenty quick as well, rode one for the first time last week or the week before I think.
Big but comfy and stable in corners and on the brakes but requires effort to turn in quick because it's a bulky thing.
Quite liked it...
Vicious powerdelivery though!
