As above my TomTom500 is well out of date roadmap wise... I've looked on tomtomgo.co.uk and cant seem to find out how to update it to the latest maps? Is it something I need to download or buy?

Also does anyone know if the tomtom700 has a streetmap of the USA (Particularly Florida?)

youll need to go to tomtom main website and download a program for your pc called tomtom home
makes it really easy to use then
allthough you will pay 60 euros (£42) to update the maps

be warned the "latest" maps arnt ever up to date! as i found out

There haven't been any new maps since TT500 came out

The £42 sub is to mainly update cameras locations etc

Really?? Fook me! Stansted Airports a nightmare at the moment to get to with all the new road!

Can you tell when the France and Italy maps have been updated? A mate drives over there loads and has noticed new roads etc that arent on his tomtom700....

there has been maps released since then for sure but you dont know what map you get until its installed and you see the version number
cfoster-the map has a unique code to stop people sharing them so limewire will be a no go.
the £42 isnt for speed cameras its for a updated map, thats a separate subscription

basically its a no win situation as teleatlas who make the maps only release them bi annually so they store the updates then release them in one big hit
i payed the £42 and got stung a while back and it was still a year or so out of date
